Even when you set the highest amount of points required to win and longest amount of countdown time to game's end you still have a game that usually only lasts around 10-15 minutes. I believe another drawback of the game is that you must capture and hold Nodes placed around the game battlefield. The difference is the previous games allowed you to play the game while not connected to the internet. The main disadvantage to traditional gaming is also an advantage of the game in that it is played online and allows you to play with others online as well, albeit not a first for this genre as previous ones have also allowed this. Suffice it to say, this game takes some getting used to and some playing to be able to appreciate it. So imagine my frustration when I ended up with 3 of them, but that's another story. So when Cox Cable goes down, I can't play, lol. What happens if your internet connection is down or you're sitting in the park with your laptop and there's no WiFi service available? Let me tell you, you can't play the game! It's com pletely worthless without a high speed internet connection and I wasn't aware of that when I bought it. But this game departs greatly from all the others in that you must play it online and herein lies my main complaint against the game. The change is sometime's amazing and sometimes not always liked by some. What a great deal of changes and developments of the game have we seen since that first one. About 15 yeas ago I bought and still have the very first Command and Conquer and have all those that have come since. Whoa, what happened to the immortalized C&C opening greeting? As some have said this game is different from all it's predecessors and that's the first change you'll notice.
